What do you use, to clean your workstation/desk/table from all the ink-mist and goop that has gotten on there, whilst you were busy creating? I mean, my larger desk is all stained, and I guess mine is not the only one right?!! So what is your secret cleaner?

Windex. Actually, I use the store brand, but it works just fine on the table and on my craft mat.

I use baby wipes and windex/409. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Actually, just baby wipes. I haven’t really tried too hard to get the stains off of the folding table that I use. LOL! We’re supposed to clean???May 5, 2015 at 6:55 pm #373517May 5, 2015 at 7:07 pm #373522

I keep a water spray bottle beside me at all times and clean up as I go. Having a large Heidi Swapp mat helps alot too as most of the goo stays on the mat and is easy to clean. For ink stains and the like on my desk I use alcohol blending solution or stamp cleaner. And when I really decide to clean I wipe everything down with 409 or something similar. Hand sanitizer works really well. Its the alcohol in it that cleans but the viscosity of it helps to loosen dried on paint and stuff like that.May 6, 2015 at 12:56 am #373697May 6, 2015 at 5:14 am #373846
I clean as much as I can during crafting, but when I’m on a deadline, NSM. My large scrap-counter is a paint coated wood surface. I cleaned all the coating off of it, and well… it was originally white, but now it has lots of color, which I can’t seem to loose. I tried Blending solution and Stazon-cleaner and lots of other cleaners, but I guess the only option is sanding it and get it a new coat of paint. I was wondering if a coat of clear Gesso would help… What do you think?May 6, 2015 at 5:16 am #373847
I’m interested in the Windex/409 tho… is that a spray for window cleaning?May 6, 2015 at 9:03 pm #374258

Paulien, Windex is a glass/window cleaner.
409 is an all-purpose cleaner.
Both are sprays.

Thanks Peggy! That was what I thought. Too bad they don’t do the job what we want them to do.May 8, 2015 at 3:48 am #374922
