Hi everybody! I hope you are having fun with the blog hop and enjoying the DT's creations with this amazingly beautiful kit – Enchanted Evening!
I am going to show you how I created one of my layouts, a page called Fun Times, and I have taken lots of pics to guide you through my creative process.
When I scrap, I often begin with the papers and embellishment that have caught my eye. The photos come later in the process. For this page, I first picked out the embellishments I wanted to use, especially the Petaloo flowers and the Prima lamppost, and then I chose the background paper and added more embellishments.
Here are the papers I used:
I have used the Villa paper from BoBunny Rose Café Collection. I have also used pieces of the Heirloom paper, and a piece from the Villa paper (backside). I have distressed the edges and wrinkled up the smaller pieces a bit.
Here are the embellishments I used, mostly from the main kit, but a couple of pieces from the embellishment add-on:
I started with the Villa paper, and used a sponge to paint the entire paper with white gesso and then I used a stencil to create some texture. You can use any stencil you like for this step.
Next, I cut a piece of the BoBunny film strip (love this btw!) and used my stapler to attach it across the paper:
I then glued the pieces of paper on the filmstrip. I have used 3D-pads to get more dimension:
Now it's time to paint the Blue Fe Studios chipboard branches. I have used white gesso for this.
After the gesso had dried, I used the Ingvild Bolme chalk, from the embellishment add on, to ink the edges of the chipboard pieces:
Time to start decorate! I rolled up the piece of blue string and glued in under my photos. I added the lamppost to the right, and then the chipboard branches under the photos. I noticed that I painted the wrong side of one of the pieces, so the birds ended up upside down, but it doesn't matter since I'm going to put some flowers there too. I also added a piece of the BoBunny die cuts under the papers, in the top.
Next I added some flowers from Petaloo, pretty sugared Botanica flowers and sugared berries. I also added a couple of more die cuts and found the perfect title for my layout – Fun Times!
I then added a couple of the small blue roses from the main kit and cut out yellow roses from the BoBunny Rose Café Garden paper, tucking these under papers and flowers here and there:
My final step is to add white gesso, using a sponge, to the flowers and embellishments. I have also put a couple of BoBunny pearls and bling here and there. Here is my finished layout:
A couple of close-ups:
Thank you for joining me today! I hope you have enjoyed this step-by-step tutorial with the Enchanted Evening kit. Have fun creating!!

"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."December 16, 2014 at 11:59 pm #250311December 17, 2014 at 6:41 am #250312December 17, 2014 at 2:54 pm #250313
Gorgeous, Helena! Love all your details!
