Technically, it's Saturday, so I'm posting this. We are not posting on the blog right now so we can keep the contest info at the top of the blog until registration is over. HURRRRRRYYYY! 🙂

It's a new year, and I always say that I am going to scrap myself every year or work on a Book of Me, but I never do it. So this year, I thought I'd try something else to see if I would actually commit to doing a project just about myself, and just do a Canvas of Me! The only reason that I am even getting started on this is because I've had this idea brewing in my head for a while, and while browsing at Michaels, it HIT me: just do a canvas, and keep it simple to describe yourself. Instead of focusing on joualing and straining to come up with topics, use the embellishments and colors to symbolize who I am.

So, here is the first part of my canvas, which is a four inch square canvas panel that I will add to a larger canvas, along with a few more little squares.

Check out my video on how I made this tiny canvas, and what my plan is for it:

Let me know what you think!

And..I'm saying dang dang dang..I do not have any of the little flat canvases…lol..and I just went to Michaels yesterday and bought some 12 x 12 deep ones because the were 50% off! I am going to run back today and get me some of the flat little ones. I'm sooooo making this!

Wow, that is so awesome, Rae!

"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

Really love this idea. I've been saving the canvas suitcase album to create a book about me and there it sits completely untouched. This may be the perfect ticket to jump start me … Thanks for the tutorial.
