Rae, question: what is the difference between the Pastels and Gelatos?

The difference between pastels and gelatos is not much! Pastels are oil-based, but they work with water. I can’t really think of anything that you could do with one, but not the other.

Thanks, Rae. I think I’m going to see how gelatos work on canvas using your techniques.

You will get nearly the same results, Pegs, so I would say that you don’t really NEED the pastels if you have all of the colors of gelatos that you want. Gelatos seem to actually dry better, and they don’t need a sealant. Pastels do require a sealant, more so if you live in a humid area.
