here's the card tutorial for this month.
supplies needed: white cardstock – design papers – joual tag – flowers – distress ink Frayed Burlap – Filmstrip ribbon – Gesso – smooch spritz (River Mossy) – feathers – tulle – heatgun – hot glue gun – foam tape (or pop dots) – self adhesive pearls – lace – glue or tape runner.
Cut a white piece of cardstock at 5.9 x 9.1 inches
Fold double. This is the base of your card.
Cut a piece of design paper at 4.2 x 5.7 inches.
Cut a piece of design paper at 5 x 3.6 inches.
Distress and ink your edges. I used Frayed Burlap distress ink.
Spritz some Smooch or glimmermist over the front of your card base.
Glue your first piece of PP down to your card base.
Glue the second piece of PP down.
Cut of your barcode strip, from the *Afresh* sheet of PP.
These KaiserCraft papers have beautiful borders on their barcode strip, and that is what we are going to use.
Put a small amount of Gesso on your card and spread it out.
Heat dry it.
Take a joualing tag (in the kit) distress the edges and get some Gesso to the middlest part. Heat dry it.
You might want to give it a second layer, and dab it on, to create some texture.
Glue some lace, just above the bottom part, using your hot glue gun.
Glue the border strip to your lace and card.
Put some foam tape (or pop dots) to the back of your joualing tag and stick it down at the right side of your tag.
Cut a strip of filmstrip ribbon and glue it down. I used my hot glue gun for it, and only glued the first little square at the bottom.
***To get your filmstrip ribbon straight, all you have to do is, shortly heat it with your heatgun.***
Cut a strip of tule ( about 10 inches long and 2 inces wide) ruffle it, and stablize the pleadings with a tiny attacher or give it some stitches. Glue it to your tag.
Cut another piece of filmstrip ribbon and glue it at the bottom part of the tag, right over the tule.
Place some feathers at the right side of your joualing tag.
Place another feather at the bottom of your joual tag, hanging a little off to the left.
Glue a nice teal flower down, something like above.
glue a lovely little rose (in the kit) down to your joual tag, just above the teal flower.
Take one little black ribbon rose and dab some Gesso on it. While the Gesso is still wet, give it a spritz with smooch r glimmer mist. Cut the stem off, >>BUT<< don't cut it too short.
You want to leave an inch or so. Roll the stem under the rose and secure it with some hot glue.
Place the little rose right under your teal flower.
Place some pearls in the upper left coer.
Place some pearls in the bottom right coer.
Place some pearl strand or a row of pearls on the border and lace.
And you're done.August 11, 2011 at 10:19 am #131113

"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."August 11, 2011 at 4:12 pm #131119August 11, 2011 at 4:31 pm #131120
