There are many creative uses for medallions. And doing this has spawn a couple of other ideas. I am working on those ideas now. I love my Martha Stewart punch sets. I keep playing hoping to discover a new trick..Here is one.
Here are the different medallions you can achieve using the different designs of the coer punches.
Any coer punch from the Punch around the page sets
paper trimmer or (ruler and craft knife)
These are just some of the designs that you can achieve using the different coer punch designs.
Using your paper trimmer, cut 1 1/2 inch strips of card stock.
Take your 1 1/2 inch strips and cut them into 1 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 inch squares.
With the bottom of the punch facing you, take your square shape and carefully slide it into the punch coer side down.
Slide the square down so that the coer of the sqaure matches and is even with the bottom coer of the punch. It will just about rest on the coer, and must be exact. Punch down.
Pull the square out and rotate the square so that the next coer is ready to be punched.
Tu it once again and punch. At this point, you may have a better handle on the square if you hold it with tweezers.
Tu once again to punch the last coer.
This is your finished madalion.
This is a layout I did where I used the medallions on top of a punched strip.
Let us know what other ideas you have for these medallions. I would love to hear!!September 3, 2011 at 1:34 am #134667
Wow, that's amazing Lisa!! thank you!
"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."September 3, 2011 at 1:59 am #134668September 3, 2011 at 4:23 am #134670
Lisa, these are great. I've been looking for medallion punches and saw a MS one I liked, but I bought some medallion looking stamps instead. These are so much better. You're a genius!September 3, 2011 at 6:56 am #134671September 3, 2011 at 10:34 am #134669September 3, 2011 at 2:13 pm #134672
