My challenge this month is to create something gorgeous using an arch. Arches give me such a sense of freedom. This is what I use when I'm trying new techniques or new products. I don't feel so bad throwing something out this small if I don't like it KWIM?! LOL

I have placed the templates for you to download in the Tips Forum. I have also added a tutorial for Glass Flowers.

      Ok, the rules:
      1. Pick any arch from the templates that you want
      2. It must be 6 inches high
      3. You have to use one piece of Dusty Attic, or a chipboard equivalent (if there is such a thing) ;D
      4. You get an extra point for each glass flower you use!! That's right; one flower=1 point, 2 flowers=2 points and so on. Leaves count for a point as well (I made my flowers look like glass).
      5. Your arch must have 50% Swirly goodies on it
      6. Upload your photo to the gallery and label it Feb SGC Arch
      7. You can make more than 1 arch!! Just be sure to label them so we know how to vote for them.
***You have until midnight, Sunday 2/27 to submit your arch. Voting will begin on Monday 2/28
***RAK TBA (I'm still working on that!)

I want you to try something new. You know that molding or embossing paste you've been wanting to use, go for it! Anything goes!!! Here are a few of my samples. They are simple, but I wanted you to see how pretty they can be without going crazy. Let's have fun and get all inky, glittery and paint splattered!!!

These are gorgeous Lisa!!! Question – are we to do the arches as a single piece, or are we to put them on a layout?

Yes, the glass flowers get you an extra point, but are not required so feel free to use whatevah your little heart desires!

"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

Great challenge! I just leaed how to do the glass flowers on YouTube and this is perfect! If you don't have a melting pot, you can use a candle warmer or a butter warmer-you know the kind you use to keep your butter warm for lobster or crab. Using the votives or tea light candles with the warmers is a little slower and remember to cover the top or ramekin with foil when you first start melting to hold in the heat. Just remember, once you use it for UTEE it is no longer usable for anything else!!! In other words don't melt UTEE in it to make glass flowers and then use it for the guests to eat butter out of!!! LOL!!

Oh, what fun! I guess you could always make your arch, and then put it on a LO later after the challenge if you wanted to use it that way.

Lisa….your work is exquisite! So beautiful and delicate.
