"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."August 3, 2011 at 12:28 am #129656
I am in the KC area, and I am really thankful I invested in a new AC earlier this year. My old one would never have made it.August 3, 2011 at 1:12 am #129657August 3, 2011 at 1:26 am #129658

Holy cow! I can't even imagine what it feels like to be that hot! It was 77 here today and has cooled down to 52 oveight… and I thought we had a nice, hot day! Wow. I'm huffing and puffing and sending some cool air down your way.August 3, 2011 at 9:17 am #129661
It's NOT been 115 yet! Thank goodness…..We've had months of over 100 degrees EVERYDAY….We did have an unexpected shower last night. We were all thanking God and high-fiving!!! We just sat in the quiet and listened to the rain on the skylights…..
Sorry Florida….but I truly wish that hurricane would vere west and head for Texas. I don't want the damage….just the rain.August 3, 2011 at 11:29 am #129662
I visited my parents in August once when they lived in Austin, TX. My god, it was like an oven there. 110º+ BUT no humidity so I think I can stand that over the 100º's we've had lately with t90% humidity. Gotta say ladies, Krissy is where its at! Denver has awesome weather. Warm days, cool nights, only 2-3 weeks of really hot weather for the most part. The year we moved there (2000) it was really hot and the claim to fame was that there had been 60 days of 90º + weather. That sounds like heaven to me!! The winters aren't nearly as bad as you might think, yeah it snows but other than the occasional blizzard, it's quite manageable. The nights are cold in the winter but it often warms up in the day. 300 days a year of sunshine….what's not to love about that!!

It has only broken triple digits here once or twice…. and I'm still hiding in my air-conditioned house….August 3, 2011 at 1:32 pm #129664
