I would say lacing with eyelets and wet distressing.

I should drag out the eyelets! I used to use them a lot! I also have’nt done stitching on a LO for quite awhile. I love the look of it on LO’s and miss doing it.

Stitching (or faux) is one that I miss.

I like stitching too Kim, I used to hand stitch details to my layouts but I gave up as it was too time consuming. I always wanted to buy a sewing machine.

One thing I dont miss is using alphabet thickers for titles, I love using chipboard titles now and I’ll never go back

I’m just going to use Rae’s faux stitching technique. Even though my sewing machine is sitting right on the counter. I can never get a straight line.

I think I came in to scrapping just as the eyelet thing had reached its peak and (believe it or not!), I’ve never used them. I have a Crop-A-Dile and of course I have a hammer, maybe I should give them a try. They’d go perfectly on boy pages, wouldn’t they?

Stitching… I like stitching and I don’t bother with straight lines. The machine is actually in a cupboard, accessible, but out of sight. Again, I should take it out, it would go so perfectly for this kit.

Actually, I miss journaling although I’ve never been good at it. I managed to tuck a journaling tag in my Recipe layout and I plan on doing a bit with the March sketch page. Not much, just a few sentences about “who, where, when”.

A clean house is the sign of a lazy scrapper.

Yes Peggy, I think eyelets would be great on a boy layout!
As far as machine stitching in a straight line, I just made wavy lines! Haha

Yeah, Kim, wavy lines are cool. I do them on purpose.

Peggy, I agree about the journaling. Another thing with the eyelets I’ve shared before-use them backwards on the page. They look cool on boy or grunge pages as they create a small star.

Okay, maybe I should give eyelets a try. We’ll see.
