Have you ever destroyed an old layout (old meaning 2yrs plus) ONLY to use the embellishments on another project?

Yes, I have done this once before. Afterwards I felt terrible about it! I ripped off a Prima Vine to use on a pge.

I haven’t done it yet either but I have thought about it before. I have so many layouts stored away now that I might start recycling old ones

Nope. All my completed pages go into albums or wall frames.

No, I haven’t done this! I have thought about it. However, during the move, my Dusty Attic photo carousel that we got a few years ago got a little busted up. I COULD have maybe saved it, but I ended up pulling off the embellishments and I have used most of those! 🙂 It was mostly those Prima cherubs. I hope that Prima decides to make molds out of some past resins because I would really love to make more of those.

I have been thinking about this question all day, and to be honest I actually think this is a good idea. So far this year I have already made 31 layouts, 6 OTP projects and 12 cards. I have completely run out of room to store things. So I think I might just keep my favourite layouts and dismantle the rest – it’s a double win, I save space and money be recycling embellies plus all my layouts are saved forever online now

I have done this for photos. When I first started scrapping, I was using original photos. Digital was just coming out. So I have ripped photos off of older layouts, scanned them and reused the photo.

                        WHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT?????
Pull something apart???? I’ve never considered this, even with my fuglies. I don’t know why; I seem to be saving my stuff for posterity or something.

Seriously, maybe because I have so much stuff that needs to be used, I’ve never thought to reuse anything once it’s glued down.
You’ve certainly given me something to think about!!!!

LOL, Peggy! Didn’t mean to shock you!

Like I said I did it once and didn’t like the way I felt afterwards.

lol! Sounds like we are at a recovery session now.

I have taken pics off of a page to scan for a repeat scrap. Or, just a few days ago, my mom was asking for a picture so I had to pull it up and scan it for her-these were the days before digital.

Yes, it does sound like recovery, doesn’t it?

Jan, I’ve always used scanned pics, somehow I didn’t want to glue an original down. My sister was doing that and then realized that it was really a pita to unglue them.

I’ve never really cared that I used original pics but lately I find myself scanning just to change the size of the picture.
