LISA VALENTINE - USA | Design Team Coordinator I live in Upstate New York with my husband and daughter. I work a full time job in Investment Management, I am Girl Scout leader, and a Board member on my local School Board of Education. I started to scrap years ago and then stopped. It didn’t really seem to be for me. Everywhere I looked there was nothing but flat, cookie-cutter pages with tons of stickers and all of them lacking in details and originality. Then, in the beginning of 2010 I decided to give it another try. I went online and was blown away but what I saw. It was a whole new world! I spent a few months on the Design Team for another kit club, but now I have the best opportunity ever....to be leading the most talented Design Team around, The Swirlydoos Designers. This is such an honor and I look forward to learning and growing with all of you.

RACHEL MOSES - USA | Education Team Coordinator Hi! I’m Rae. I live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and three children. I used to teach high school English, but now I am a stay at home mom. I started this wonderful hobby of scrapbooking in 2007 to preserve the memories of a family vacation, and since then, I have been absolutely obsessed! I love to create layouts and projects of all kinds, but I tend to go for the fancy elegant look, or the "Swirly" style as I like to call it, so you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to join the Swirlydoos design team! It is an honor to a part of this amazing team!

VICKY ALBERTO - CANADA designer | Hi, my name is Vicky Alberto (aka Simply Paper on some gallery sites) and I live in Alberta, Canada. Three years ago, after having my last child, I decided not to return to a corporate marketing job so I could raise my three young children for a while. After ten years in the marketing industry, scrapbooking was a natural extension of my work world to fill a creative void... and I was instantly hooked! I describe my style as “a little shabby and a lot of chic”, LOL. I like each layout to look like a piece of art so I keep my titles short and journal on the back (sometimes) - to keep a clean look to my pages. I enjoy working with vintage/romantic style papers and adore adding distressed layers, doilies, chipboard and flowers to my projects. Some of my projects feature handmade flowers and my tutorials are all listed on my blog (quick links in the right sidebar). My blog address is http://simplypaperandcreativity.blogspot.com where I chat about my work, the fantastic companies I design for, and share my flower tutorials. I have been blogging for two years and am overwhelmed that I already have so many wonderful followers. This industry has such a deeply supportive and kind online network of ladies. I have “met” the most amazing people from all over the world through various online communities and have had the opportunity to "work" with some of the most talented ladies in the industry. I now fully embrace (the thing I used to avoid) the internet to share and gain creative inspiration. I am thrilled to have been asked to design for Swirlydoos. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to work with your beautiful kits and amazing design team. I look forward to getting to know the community members on the forum very soon. What more could a scrap-a-holic ask for?? My blog: http://simplypaperandcreativity.blogspot.com |
MIRANDA EDNEY - USA educator | My name is Miranda, and I started scrapbooking about 2 years ago. It started with wanting to make an album to show my honey how much it he meant to me, and it blossomed from there! I have spent a lot of time searching for my style and what I like the best. That tends to be more on the grunge side of things, but I never like to stay put in one area of art , I am always pushing myself out of my boundaries! I strive to think outside of the box , and use techniques that allow me to express myself! My fave products are flowers , metal, laces, gesso, sprays , masks, and texture pastes! I hope you enjoy my artwork and that I can give someone some inspiration! That is the most important thing to me. My blog - http://mslibertycreations.blogspot.com/ |
ANGELICA FRANSSEN - USA designer | Hello. My name is Angelica. I live in Washington with my husband of 13 years and my four beautiful children. I first started scrapbooking almost 12 years ago, when my husband was serving in the U.S NAVY. He was gone often, I had hundreds of pictures of my girls and I needed an outlet. So, scrapbooking it was and STILL is!!! Scrapbooking plays a very important part in my life. It's not just about attaching photos to an album . It's a way to express myself all the while preserving sweet memories of my children's lives. I feel that my style is Shabby Chic and Over Embellished (the more the merrier right?!). I love showcasing my photos with all the pretties. It's such an honor to be designing for Swirlydoos....a swirly girls dream!! My blog: http://angelicascrappenings.blogspot.com/ |
HEIDI KELLY - USA designer | Hi! My name is Heidi Kelley and I live in the United States, in the state of Missouri. I am a full time stay at home Mama, whose world really revolves around the “littles” that my husband and I have brought into the world. I have been married to my husband Patrick for 11 years, and we have three children: 2 daughters, Ahna (10), and Sarenna (8) and 1 son, Jax (2). We are also expecting our son Xander in February of 2012!! There are few things I love more than having my hands covered with paint, gesso, and various other art mediums… and creating works of art that feature my children and the everyday wonder in my life. My two daughters and newborn son are the inspiration for nearly everything I share, although a few photos of my hubby and I fall in occasionally! I create with my heart, never having a plan to start with, and simply going where the mood, paint, and photos take me. I truly believe that life lies in the details and while the big picture can most certainly be beautiful, it is the tiny elements that carve each one of us into our own person. I want to document these details, these little snippets of whimsy, of character, of flaw! I love sharing my story, our story, the way I see it – or the way I think my little ones see it… so that I can remember it long after the moments have passed. It is such an honor to be designing with the Swirlydoos team! My blog: http://seesterk.blogspot.com/ |
IRENE TAN - MALAYSIA designer | I am Irene Tan, from Malaysia and a mother of two blessings. I love the beauty of combining art and creativity with the magnificent world of scrapping and crafting. I love to experiment with all the wonderful crafting and scrapping products in the market and come up with new ideas in using them. My inspirations of my work comes from everywhere. From the photographs to my surroundings and from the stories to the emotional attachment I have towards a specific project. My projects had always been a story teller. It's meant to tell the stories of each subject or topic of the projects. It's also my thoughts and view of that particular project. My style is more into distressed/ephemera with loads of details. However, I am also able to work with other styles comfortably with a twist of my own. I love challenges and innovative assignments. My blog: http://scrapperlicious.blogspot.com/ |
ADRIANA TEMPLETON - USA educator | Hi! I'm Andie otherwise known as Scrappygoddess or Andiepants. Mum to a beautiful girl, who is my biggest scrapbook inspiration, and I've just welcomed a second girl in January, 2011.
I love everything within design and photography. The first time I went to draw a sketch was because I dreamed it and wanted to put it on paper before I forgot it. Now I can not stop creating them! PAULIEN van den BOSCH - NETHERLANDS designer/card master | Hi, my name is Paulien van den Bosch. I'm 40 years old, (shhh don't tell anyone) and I'm married for 20 years to Kees. We have 3 daughters ages 20, 17 and 12. We have a 1 year old labrador, and a kitty who is almost 4. Together we live in Castricum. This is a small village in The Netherlands right by the sea. I first learned about scrapbooking back in 2004 and it has brought me a lot of joy, stress relief and some very good friends through the years. I love to play with a variety of products, and I also love to try different styles. Most of my work is judged as Shabby Chic or Vintage, I call it: Made with Love! I'm not a girlie girl in daily life, so it looks like I compensate for that in my scrapbooking. I love anything scrapbook related, but mainly create mini albums, layouts, and cards. I'm very much excited to be designing for Swirlydoos. In fact, I was doing the happy dance when I was asked! I feel honored and grateful for getting this change to work with these amazing kits and ridiculously talented design team. My blog: http://paulienvandenbosch.blogspot.com/ |
