We are going to start this Anatomy by prepping some of the elements we will be using on it. First off, will be the simple flowers.
For the flowers I created I used the Heartfelt Creations/Spellbinders Tattered Blossoms die. Adhesive of your choice and the Say it in Crystals that came with your kit.
Cut a bunch of blooms in all sizes from the blue paper in the kit. For the larger flowers I cut 2 large and 1 smaller bloom
Layer the flowers and bend the petals to add some texture to them.
I created 2 big, 2 medium and 2 smaller flowers for the LO. You could also cut out this step and use premade flowers of create you own.
Prep your leaves by dies cutting or punching them out from the lighter colored patteed paper and color with your choice of coloring methods. I used Glimmer Mist in Olive Green and inked the edges and middles of the leaves for dimension.
Using the Prima backing, cut out your banner and adhere it to some light weight string , hemp or jute.
Now we are ready to put the layout together. Using the black card stock punch all around the page. You can use your punch of choice, I used Martha Stewart Punch All Over the page Caning design.
Back it with the yellow paper and adhere just the very ends of the perimeter. You will need the backside of the yellow paper. You can ink the edges of the paper at this point.
Tu the layout over to the back and cut out as much of the back as possible. You will need this piece for the front. Of course if you knew the size you would have left, you could cut out the square before you adhered the 2 pieces together, or you could just use another piece of paper.
Square up the piece of paper you just cut out and use a decorative punch around the paper. Ink the edges of this piece as well. Adhere it to the middle of the page.
Arrange your flowers and leaves as shown or use this design as a starting point to your own design.
Add your photo to the middle and place the doors on either side of the photo.
String your banner across the page and curl the ends and adhere to the page.
Add your title to the layout and you are done.October 8, 2012 at 7:50 pm #182834
The story behind the title on my layout is, Gabbie took Bentley (her cat) home a couple of weeks ago, and everyday, she would come home from work and find him sleeping in his cat carrier. The only time she puts him in it is when she brings him to my house. So I told Gabbie that Bentley is trying to tell her he wants to go to his Mimi's house…October 8, 2012 at 7:53 pm #182835
