Today I prepared a Puffy or Pillow box for you.

    frontpicknik600.jpg

    backpick600.jpg

and here's how I did this.

    1-6.jpg

I first printed my template twice. One for guiding, one to cut out and use. The one for guiding… I cut off the sides which left me with the middelest part only. This is great to use as a template for your pp. I scored the lines.

*** I will post a pdf file, of the template, at the bottom of my tut.***

    2-6.jpg

I selected my pp and glued it down. On the other part of the box I wanted to do something more technique based.

    3-6.jpg

I stamped my flourish using embossing ink and sprinkled it with black embossing powder. Heat setted it.
My stamping is not perfect, but I'll cover that up.

    4-6.jpg

I added a layer of paint (not perfect) over my stamped image and let it dry.

    5-5.jpg

I added another layer, but lighter color paint. Kind of a white wash layer.

    6-5.jpg

I sanded over my stamped and embossed flourish.

    7-5.jpg

Wipe away the dust and cleaned my spot with a damp cloth.

    8-5.jpg

I took a small doily and a bit of Multi Medium

    9-4.jpg

Put the multi medium on the back of my doily and glued it like this.

    10-3.jpg

Added some glossy accent to the strip that needs to be glued and closed my box.

    11-4.jpg

    11-2-1.jpg

Folded the left over part of the doily, to the front of my box and glued it down. Inked all the edges.

    12-4.jpg

Slide your hand into the box and fold the flaps.

    13-4.jpg

    like this.

    14-4.jpg

there was my box. ready to embellish

    15-3.jpg

I added a piece of lace and tied a knot.

    16-3.jpg

selected the rest of my embellies

    17-3.jpg

Placed my leaves and made a rose after Pascale's tutorial. http://www.swirlydoos.com/sd_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?149153

    18-3.jpg

    placed some flowers and pearls.

    19-2.jpg

On the backside I added some bandage, using hot glue.

    20-3.jpg

added some flowers, some Prima swirls and some beads.

    20-2.jpg

folded my swirl over to the side. And I called it finished.

    ***************************************************************************************

    So…. here are the rules:

    Make a puffy/pillow box
    use some handmade flowers
use some paint on your box.

    ***************************************************************************************

I can't wait to see what you ladies come up with.

Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."
