Hi girls! Can someone tell me how I can affect the transparency of a photo? I would like to make it more translucent.

      Thanks!

Tell me more about what you are trying to achieve with the photo so I can direct you. Do you have an example of something you saw online?

I want to use the photo on water slide paper. I need it to be more transparent so that the paper behind it will show through. I don't want to use a transparency because it doesn't give the same overall effect.

            Does that make sense?

Are you printing directly on your waterslide paper?? It is easy to make photo's appear transparent by using the sliders and opacity. But your photo will appear transparent. Is that what you want??

Gabbie and I used Inkjet Decal paper (waterslide) to make the decals for her car.

we made tattoos as well. That was when she was younger. I still may have some left somewhere.

            Try this step Lisa:

            File > New> Blank File > Transparent
            Then open your photo.
Grab your photo and place it on top of your transparent layer.
On the right hand side of your screen lower your opacity. You will have to play with it to see where you need to be % wise to get the look you want.

That should do it. If it doesn't let me know. 🙂

Kind of hard to explain. It gives a different look and finish than using a transparency.
