Hi, ladies! June is the month of weddings and proms and graduations, all perfect subjects for All That Flutters. But it’s also the month of Father’s Day (and let’s remember – a lot of those wedding, prom and graduation photos feature men), so I’d like to make this month’s twist a masculine one.

Here’s how this Challenge works: Using the “Spring Grunge” Kit and Add-Ons, create a project (scrapbook layout, canvas, card, tag, OTP project, it’s up to you) that includes something that “flutters” – butterflies, dragonflies, bees, ladybugs, birds, fairies – we all have these among our embellies, dies and punches, right?

And now for something different: Each month, I’ll be adding a couple of twists – one for the theme and one for the technique. So every entry can count for up to three points when it’s time to pick the random winner.

The Theme: Make It Masculine! Creating a layout? Let it feature one of the men in your life: father, brother, son, husband, you get the idea. Or you may wish to submit a card: show us you “guy card” skills. Just remember to include some sort of fluttery and you’re set!

The Technique: Stenciling! We all have piles of stencils that we’ve gathered through the years. Take one out and put it to use; create a background or simply add a bit of embellishment here and there and you’ve gained another point.

You can share your finished entry here on this thread and in the “Spring Grunge ATF” folder in the Swirlydoos Gallery on Facebook. If you don’t have a Facebook account, no worries; uploading your entry here will still count.

Please note in the description or title that it’s for the “Spring Grunge” ATF Challenge.
You can enter as many layouts and projects as you wish; please remember that to qualify, at least 50% of each entry must be made with items from the Kit and Add-Ons.

The Challenge will be open through Saturday, July15, when I’ll be choosing the winner of a small RAK at random .

I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!!

For my example, I’ve scrapped my father’s high school yearbook photo, taken in 1936.

I love your inspiration LO, Peggy! There is so much beautiful texture and that is a fantastic photo of your father.

Here is my LO for the ATF challenge. The papers were perfect for these photos of my dd and dgds. I love the metal piece that was in the kit!
